As a muggle, she had always believed in magic, but it wasn’t until she met Marcus that it became a reality. She was an investment banker and he was The Daily Prophets Quidditch reporter. They were quickly married and within a year, Oliver Nathaniel Wood entered the world. Oliver spent the first six years of his life in Muggle Edinburgh learning all about the life he would eventually leave. It wasn’t until he went to a Quidditch game at age five, that he wanted to embrace his magical half. His father nurtured his skills and before he even got to school he knew the basics. At age eleven, he left home to be a Gryffindor. Academically, he barely got by, but his charming personality and his bright smile seemed to help him. By his third year, Oliver had already become the Quidditch Captain and was doing well with the ladies. In a blink of an eye, Oliver graduated. He found himself on the reserve squad of Puddlemere United. Wood soon realized this meant he was a bench warmer. After game two of the season, the young man’s life changed drastically. He was traded to the Chudley Cannons along with two other players. The next season, a freak bludger killed Vladimir Chentoff the leading Keeper. After the proper mourning period, Oliver was now first string on one of the best teams in the country. His popularity skyrocketed as he impressed his fans. He lived the high-life meeting many people and enjoying his youth. After a five year career as a starter, it all changed. While playing the Holyhead Harpies a thunderstorm began. Lighting hit one of the goals as it fell over, it caught the back of Oliver’s broom and he came crashing down to Earth with a thud. Although his legs were healed, Wood would never return to the sport. Oliver returned to London and moved to a flat. Deciding to cash-in on his fame, he opened a small sporting goods store in London, disguised as an abandoned warehouse. “Woods Sporting Goods” became an instant success with its vast selection of brooms and Quidditch gear. Finally secure in his work, Oliver hopes to find the right woman in his life. Personality: Oliver is known as the man with large grin and happy personality. Wood is exuberant and full of good humour. He is intelligent, is not the best of students, because he would rather be outside enjoying the fresh air or off studying on their own. Oliver isn't good at diplomatic silence; if anyone makes a mistake, he will draw attention to it right away, usually loudly and in front of everyone. At length. He can get into trouble with his hot temper. Still, he rarely mean anything malicious. Wood is too jovial to harbour malice. Oliver is likeable extraverts, on good terms with practically everybody, and they generally do all right in the end.
